Bringing Global Visibility to Helen Keller Intl’s Nutrition Advocacy

Helen Keller Intl is a global nonprofit dedicated to improving health, nutrition, and vision for underserved communities across more than 20 countries. With support from USAID, the organization launched its “Advancing Nutrition” campaign in Nigeria to promote better maternal and child health through improved nutritional practices. Acclaimed Nigerian actress Chioma Chukwuka joined the initiative as a Goodwill Ambassador to raise awareness about breastfeeding, hygiene, and maternal nutrition. The campaign later extended to the United States, with significant activity around U.S.-based events involving key stakeholders such as government bodies and the United Nations.
Gutenberg designed a 360° content and logistics strategy to elevate Helen Keller Intl’s campaign across both Nigerian and U.S. audiences. From celebrity-led video storytelling to event coordination and live coverage in global forums, Gutenberg ensured seamless collaboration between teams across continents. The approach was focused on high-quality multimedia production, strategic visibility through Chioma Chukwuka’s influence, and live amplification of campaign milestones at global events.

Challenge #1: Creating a digital content suite that sustained campaign momentum
Gutenberg solution: Produced a suite of engaging multimedia assets, including 70 Instagram reels and seven documentary-style videos (3–5 minutes each), along with a series of 90-second shorts. These assets were crafted to communicate the campaign’s message with emotional depth, strong visuals, and clear storytelling—ensuring high engagement across platforms.

Challenge #2: Coordinating cross-border event logistics and stakeholder engagement
Gutenberg solution: Managed end-to-end event logistics across Nigeria and the U.S., coordinating between multiple teams to deliver smooth event execution. This included live coverage and on-the-ground content creation at the United Nations General Assembly in New York and key meetings in Washington D.C., reinforcing global advocacy for maternal and child health.

Challenge #3: Building global awareness for a locally-rooted maternal health campaign
Gutenberg solution: Gutenberg maximized the influence of Chioma Chukwuka by crafting a tailored content strategy that spotlighted her role as a Goodwill Ambassador. Her presence at live events and in campaign videos helped create authentic moments that resonated across cultures, boosting social engagement and broadening the campaign’s appeal to global audiences.
